Shawn LaQuey graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a bachelor’s in business and has been in the insurance industry for 17 years, starting his career at Sanford & Tatum Insurance in 2007. As an Employee Benefits Risk Consultant, Shawn’s expertise lies in crafting comprehensive benefits packages that cover everything from Medical, Dental, and Vision to Life Insurance and Disability plans. His job entails not just providing top-of-the-line benefits but also ensuring a complete understanding of how these plans work, all while seeking the best coverage at competitive prices.

His commitment to the industry is reflected in his leadership roles at the Lubbock Association of Health Underwriters, where he served as President in 2014-2015 and 2016-2017. Born and raised in Lubbock, Shawn is deeply involved in his community. He is the past President of Team Luke Hope for Minds, an organization that assists children with severe brain injuries. He has served as a United Way Loan Executive and Team Lead.
