Jim Smith brings more than thirty two years’ experience in insurance and risk mitigation to the team. He started his career in 1986 with Texas Employers Insurance Association (TEIA) and later worked within the City of Amarillo as a Claims Administrator and Risk Manager before joining our team of risk management professionals. Jim works with clients to assess and identify the potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, security and financial prosperity of their organization and then provide viable solutions to avoid or mitigate the effects of incidents should they occur. Jim was raised in Dimmitt, Texas, and moved to Amarillo in March of 1986. Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from West Texas A&M University, has served as a member of the Society of Human Resource Management since 2006 and a member of Public Risk Management Association since 1991.
