As an Assistant Account Manager for Employee Benefits, Gene Harmon works closely with business owners to help them choose the benefits plans that attract and retain employees. He also helps business owners and employees find answers to their questions, understand their benefits packages and make enrollment changes. Gene loves feeling like he is making a difference with other people and solving problems.

Gene is originally from Georgia, where he earned a degree from Georgia Highlands College. He moved to Lubbock from Atlanta, Georgia, in 2020 to be closer to family. Gene has a passion for historical interpretation, which gives him the tools to connect people to history and places. In his previous career, he had the opportunity to use his passion for interpretation to bring history to life in a number of ways, including when he worked as a living history interpreter in Denali National Park.

On Sundays, you can find Gene playing the drums in his church’s early service.
