What is your background?

I had told my dad at about age ten I would work for and with him at the agency. Since junior high I spent at least a month every summer working for my dad. After graduating from college in 1970, I came directly to work for the agency. This was just after the May 11th tornado so the agency was quite busy handling the claims.  

What is your favorite thing about working at Sanford & Tatum?

My favorite thing about working at Sanford & Tatum is watching it grow and being around the wonderful people we have attracted and hung onto.

Which of our core values is your favorite and why? 

Honesty - it goes hand and hand with trustworthy. An insurance contract is one of utmost good faith. Without honesty, insurance does not exist.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why?

I just love to travel. Of the places I have traveled, Tanzania was the most exciting and educational. We climbed Kilimanjaro, went to the Ngorongoro Crater to view thousands of migrating animals and spent time with local tribes. 

In your spare time, what activities do you enjoy?

I love spending time with my children and grandchildren. I play piano with my grandson at our recitals. One of my favorite activities on a daily basis is to read the comics and drinking coffee in the morning.
